🦷 What Is It?

  • SimplyPERIO® is a saliva-based test designed to detect harmful bacteria and viruses in your mouth that are associated with gum disease and other health issues. By analyzing your saliva, the test identifies specific microorganisms that may contribute to oral and systemic conditions.

🧪 How Does It Work?

  • Simple Collection You provide a saliva sample using the kit provided, we collect the sample when you’re at our office.

  • Laboratory Analysis The sample is sent to a certified lab where advanced molecular techniques identify the presence of specific pathogens.

  • Comprehensive Detection The test screens for: Bacteria linked to gum disease. Organisms associated with tooth decay. Candida Albicans, a fungus that can exacerbate oral health issues. Viruses connected to cognitive decline.

🧠 Why Is It Important

  • Gum disease often progresses silently without noticeable symptoms. If left untreated, it can lead to tooth loss and has been associated with serious health conditions such as:

    • Heart disease – Diabetes - Alzheimer's Disease - Certain cancers.

  • Early detection through the SimplyPERIO® test allows for timely intervention, potentially preventing these complications.
